Ben Bohane was born in Sydney, Australia in 1970, and has spent the past fifteen years covering conflict and religion in the Asia Pacific region, both as a writer and a photographer. In 1989, he traveled in Vietnam and Cambodia, then remained in Southeast Asia through 1994, covering the war in Burma. For the past decade he has focused on the South Pacific and Australia. Besides his work on documentaries and current affairs programs, he has contributed to a number of books on the region. He is currently based in Vanuatu where he is an editor with Pacific Weekly Review, and is completing a masters degree in journalism at Wollongong University in Australia.
