Tim Mapp was born in 1973 in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. He studied photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology, and American and Central European history at the University of Wisconsin. In 1999 he joined Contact Press Images as a photo editor and supervisor of digital imaging. His own photography has been exhibited in galleries in New York City.
